Prior to joining Red House Law, Mr. Monhollon worked at a law firm that specializes in representing Tribal Nations where he assisted a Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) in securing a $250,000.00 payment for a company’s violation of an Indian Preference Ordinance. In this role Mr. Monhollon frequently drafted and revised tribal codes, ordinances, and resolutions in furtherance of tribal governance. Mr. Monhollon also drafted and reviewed contracts between Tribes or tribal entities and state, federal, and private actors for various matters, including, P.L. 93-638 matters, construction, real estate purchases, and natural resource development. He also successfully advocated on behalf of a tribal client in front of a state agency to prohibit the state from considering Tribal benefit payments as income for the purposes of qualifying for social benefit programs.

Mr. Monhollon was previously a trial attorney at a nonprofit, the Heartland Center for Jobs and Freedom, where he represented tenants through Kansas City’s Right to Counsel Program. Through his cases, he prevented evictions and held landlords and property management companies responsible for uninhabitable living conditions. In law school, he interned for a firm that specializes in representing Tribal Nation and entities, where he assisted and researched issues relating to tribal jurisdiction, tribal code development, and Contract Support Cost (CSC) claims under the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act.

Mr. Monhollon earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2023. He also earned a Certificate in Advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communication Studies from Kansas State University (2020) and is licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri.
